Alexandra Levasseur is a Canadian artist who lives and works out of Montreal, Quebec. Her work has been exhibited widely around the US and Internationally. Alexandra creates oil paintings of vivid landscapes that incorporate women with disrupted or missing faces. These narratives question the relationship between an individual and their environment. In this case, it begs to question are these women in fact immersed inside the landscape, or are they indeed the landscape? This piece was exhibited in Mirus Gallery's Anamorphic Portraiture group exhibition in June 2017.
