Tobias Kroeger originally started as a street artist in Germany under the name “Tobe.” It wasn’t until 2013 that Tobais took to the studio and started working on canvas. He creates portraiture composed of “data fragments and mechanical parts.” Using bold flat color schemes to create geometrical formations of figure heads, leaving out specific identifying features. In doing so, he alludes to the digitization of human identity and the person represented in itself as a product. This piece was exhibited in Mirus Gallery's Anamorphic Portraiture group exhibition in June 2017.
