Step into the whimsical world of puppetry with Puppet Me This! In this hands-on beginner workshop, you’ll craft your own expressive hand puppet using pre-cut and prepared materials—all while learning one of the foundational stitches used in puppet-making.
As your creation comes to life, you’ll explore how character development can emerge from design choices, colors, and textures. Along the way, the artist will share fascinating tidbits about puppet history and cultural anthropology, connecting your new craft to its rich global traditions.

About Puppet Me This: Averie is a Denver-based artist, specializing in designing and building professional muppet-style puppets. Her favorite puppets to build are pet portrait puppets. But her greatest wish is teach how to design and build puppets.
