Joseph Loughborough is a UK based artist who has lived in London, Paris, and currently Berlin. He creates dark haunting figures wrought with existential dread. Inspired by Camus & Kierkegaard's philosophical theories of absurdity, Joseph animates his figures into the “theater of emotion, sexuality, and movement” in a world which is potentially meaningless. This piece was exhibited in Mirus Gallery's Anamorphic Portraiture group exhibition in June 2017.
