Augustine Kofie is a geometric abstract artist based out of Los Angeles, California. Using mixed media techniques of painting and collage, Kofie creates a distinctive language through his repeated use of half circles, lines and angles. Kofie got his start as an artist in the 90's graffiti scene in Los Angeles. Since then, his style has developed to combine his influences of graffiti with illustration, mathematical drafting, and design. Kofie has exhibited extensively in museums, galleries, and large murals around the world including the exhibit Beyond Graffiti, 2 at the Museum of A + D in Los Angeles in 2015. This piece was on display in A Major Minority group exhibition at Mirus Gallery in August 2017.
